Scott Pagliaccio is once in a lifetime, and that’s probably one of the most accurate statements I’ve written.  I have never in my life met someone as present and tunnel visioned in regards to helping those around him dig through their shit and reach the strength within them.  Through a plethora of methods he excels; introspective reasoning, pinpointing the origin of problems, and wielding the patience necessary for growth.  I advise anyone reading this to make an investment in allowing Scott to do what Scott does best.

 I met Scott about four years ago online, due to a controversial relationship course posted on Facebook.  I responded to the post from my high horse of Christian values and morality.  Scott noticed my post and contacted me, not to judge or say you are wrong, but to learn about why this incident so offended me.  Since that time, we have had many conversations, usually when I was going through some turmoil in my life.  Scott always took the time to respond, no matter what the hell was going off in his life, to encourage me to seek the answers from within.    I must say at times this was infuriating.  I wanted to say just tell me what I should do, you are a life coach for God’s sake - you must have the answers.  He never gave them to me, he just posed questions and suggested things to read or videos to watch, then he let me unravel the situation.  This was very frustrating, but truth be told it was my responsibly to find the truth of the situation and someone dictating to me commands would not create a person that can think for themselves or grow, but in essence would have made me dependent and I would have proceeded through life like a mindless robot following someone’s programing.

 

So, this last year with covid, work, and relationship stress I found my life spiraling towards a dark place.  I was making bad decision and knew I needed a kick in the rear to help me find my path.  I turned to Scott.   I must admit I have never worked with a life coach, so I thought it was going to be about the same as going to a psychologist.  Well, that was not the case.  I was a bit confused by the process because I was seeking answers and he was holding a proverbial mirror to my face knowing that if I was honest with him and myself, I would find the answers inside.  The ability to look inwards is not an easy task. Scott has been there, and he has provided me space when I needed it, resources to help me make sense of what I was discovering and validating my journey and the small victories that in my mind were insignificant but paved the way towards becoming my authentic self that lives life to the fullest instead of surviving.   Scott cares deeply for people and has never judged me even though I probably deserved to be reamed out over some poor choice I have made.  Scott is someone that is dedicated to a mindset of personal growth and in connections between people.  I was intimidated by him at first.  I thought this guy is everything I am not: he is free, masculine, a bit bohemian, and adventurous; but then we talked and yes, he is all of that and so much more.  He has helped me realize that being a man, even a gay man, I can still be a masculine and I don’t have to adhere to the clichéd stereotypes that society has represented as masculinity.

So, what is working with Scott like?  He is a mirror that will help you see past your face you show the world and may have even convinced yourself is the real you to discover your authentic self.  There are times that the process is excruciating, and I want to hide and just throw in the towel.  There are other times when you celebrate the breakthroughs and discuss how the truth is helping you redefine your life.  In either case, Scott is there to help celebrate and push you to self-discoveries.   He is a man of integrity and respect and I appreciate the honesty of the process he is walking me through as I become the man God intended.
